Libation

 

an act of pouring a liquid as a sacrifice (as to a deity); a liquid (such as wine) used in a libation; an act or instance of drinking (often ceremoniously); a beverage, especially a drink containing alcohol. Viticulture (from the Latin word for vine) is the science, production, and study of grapes. It deals with the series of events that occur in the vineyard. When the grapes are used for winemaking, it is also known as viniculture.
